| The Painted Picket is a whimsical and fun studio space where artists Christy Buchanan create one of a kind works of art. Christy's painted finishes on furniture, custom floor cloths, canvases, pet portraits, and more, are just waiting to brighten your living space. She also shows off her wonderufl whimsical garden creations. You will be smiling before you get out of your car! Mr. Chicken, Alaska or one of the friendly cats are some of the cheerful greeters that beckon you to the door. The purple picket fence, eclectic yard art and unique landscaping surrounding the studio will delight your senses as you walk from your car. There is often a warming campfire beside the studio on cold winter days! Christy's work has been featured in 100 Decorating Ideas under $100 and Columbia Metropolitan Magazine. She also has had featured articles the Voice (Blythewood newspaper). You can see her creations at various locations from Gallery 102 in Lancaster, the Chester Arts Council and Reese's plants. She won best of show in the Florence Craftsman Christmas show and Art in the Heart of Augusta. Her custom floor cloths are in homes from Canada to the Bahamas! |
